DARKLIGHT - 4K Full Film by Sweetgrass Productions from Sweetgrass Productions on Vimeo.
See the Behind the Scenes Here: vimeo.com/144525818 Presented by Philips Ambilight TV In Association with Specialized and TomTom Bandit ActionCam Supported by Freefly Systems (MOVI), Bike Magazine, and CLIF Bar
The lights haven’t gone out yet! Sweetgrass Productions is back with Darklight, a film that takes viewers back into a world of light and color. Supported by innovative television manufacturer Philips TV, this is the third collaboration between the soulful filmmakers at Sweetgrass Productions and Swedish creative house Ahlstrand and Wållgren. Follow professional mountain bikers Graham Agassiz, Matt Hunter, and Matty Miles on a mind-bending night ride through the moonscapes of Southern Utah to the Ewok forests of the Pacific Northwest. A physically and mentally demanding production, this piece was shot during the midnight hours over three intense weeks. With a scrappy and determined crew of 27, thousands of pounds of camera and lighting gear was slogged, rigged, soldered, hung and broken down each night. Unlike anything ever seen before in the world of mountain biking, Darklight features arrestingly beautiful landscapes and world class riding. An evolution of its predecessors, Darklight continues to push the creative bounds of action sports cinema.

Una Peaks by GGSS // Shot from the zodiac, Ocean Nova up close to the ice in Antarctica. Una Peaks, formerly known as Cape Renard Towers, are two towers of basalt, each topped by a cap of ice, guarding the northern entrance to the Lemaire Channel on the Antarctic Peninsula (Graham Land). With the highest summit at 747 metres (2,451 ft),The peaks appear on a British Antarctic Territory stamp although they are not identified as such. The individual towers are referred to as "buttresses". Una Spivey was the name of a secretary in the governor's office in Stanley, Falkland Islands who was working for what is now the British Antarctic Survey. The tallest tower has only been summited once; this was by a German team in 1999. Graham Land is the portion of the Antarctic Peninsula that lies north of a line joining Cape Jeremy and Cape Agassiz. Graham Land is named after Sir James R. G. Graham, First Lord of the Admiralty at the time of John Biscoe's exploration of the west side of Graham Land in 1832.[1] It is claimed by Argentina (as part of Argentine Antarctica), Britain (as part of the British Antarctic Territory) and Chile (as part of the Chilean Antarctic Territory). Graham Land is the closest part of Antarctica to South America.[2] Thus it is the usual destination for small ships taking paying visitors on Antarctic trips from South America.[3] (Larger ships are not allowed to disembark passengers.) Until the discoveries of the British Graham Land Expedition of 1934–1937, it was generally supposed to be an archipelago rather than a peninsula.[4] The mountains of Graham Land are the last range of the American Cordillera, a chain of mountain ranges (cordillera) that consists of an almost continuous sequence of mountain ranges that form the western "backbone" of North America, Central America, South America and Antarctica.

Life Cycles Mountain Bike Movie Premiere & TAMBA Fundraiser
With the sun creeping higher and higher into the sky & the lowest valleys beginning to melt, our minds start to wander towards spring. This time of year provides us the rare opportunity to enjoy multi-sports like no other locale can. Ski corn snow in the morning and mountain bike tacky dirt in the afternoon. To celebrate this time of year, Local Freshies® in association with TAMBA announces the Lake Tahoe premiere of Life Cycles. This movie premiere is also a fundraiser for the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA). Help us raise money to maintain and expand our trail network. We’re also focused on helping the community understand how they can become more involved… and most of all have fun!
Lake Tahoe Life Cycles Movie Premiere
Life Cycles isn’t just any run of the mill mountain biking film. Shot in Ultra HD and with an uncompromising attention to detail as soon as you watch the trailer, you’ll see why this movie is multi-award winning. Pulling the viewer into nature’s most powerful elements, you’ll be spellbound by its visual imagery.
From Canada’s golden prairies to a bicycle factory in Japan, Life Cycles explores the concepts of creation & destruction – in nature, machine and man. What took over 5 years to make & using the bicycle as the vehicle, Life Cycles takes us on a journey through nature’s most beautiful, dramatic, and sometimes unforgiving landscapes.
